Brenda Mae Bruce of Covington, passed away February 17, 2014, at the age of 67. Grandma Red, as she was affectionately known by so many, was a lively, spirited lady who loved life, adored her family, and especially cherished her time with her grandchildren. She liked spending time outdoors with the animals and traveling to the mountains. Grandma Red loved the holidays, and always enjoyed cooking for her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Bruce; parents, Floyd and Lela (Barnwell) Pugh; sister, Lou Norris; and her brothers, Monroe Pugh, Kenneth Pugh and Donald Pugh.
She is survived by her daughters, great-grandson, sister and brothers-in-law, brothers and sisters-in-law ,and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Grandma Red will be held Friday, February 21, 2014, 11:00 AM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 3134 Floyd Street, in Covington, with interment following in Almon Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, February 20, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
She is survived by her daughters, great-grandson, sister and brothers-in-law, brothers and sisters-in-law ,and several nieces and nephews.
