OLIVER ANDRUS FUNERAL RITES HELD MONDAY
______

Residents of Sunset where he was a member of the city council, friends of Grand Coteau where he was well known, friends of Opelousas where he was, also, highly respected, met at 2 Monday afternoon to mourn the passing on of Oliver Andrus, 34.

Pallbearers at the final rites, held at the Sacred Heart Church at Grand Coteau, were his two brothers, Odon and Odel Andrus, Gene McSpadden, Lee Dejean, Roderick Bernard, and A. Andrus. Beautiful floral tributes and a host of mourning friends attested the respect and esteem in which the young filling station operator and property owner was held.

Surviving are his wife, and three children, J. A., Martin and Ida Ruth Andrus of Sunset; two brothers, Odel Andrus of Grand Coteau, Odon Andrus, Opelousas, and three sisters, Mrs. Gene McSpadden and Mrs. Lee Dejean of Opelousas and Mrs. Roderick Bernard of Sunset.
