Graveside services for Dennis James Johnson, age 49 of Monroe, LA will be held at 2 PM Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Old Bethel Cemetery, Clarks, LA.
Mr. Johnson was born on December 12, 1964 in Joilet, IL and passed from this life on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at St. Francis Medical Center, Monroe, LA.

Dennis faithfully served his country with the Army during the First Gulf War. He previously worked as a police officer with Bastrop Police Department then went to be a deputy sheriff with the Morehouse Sheriff's Department. He currently owned and operated Big Johnson's Body Art Studio.

He was preceded in death by his father, James H. Johnson.

Survivors include his mother, Syble Johnson Sanders of West Monroe; two sons: James Michael Johnson of Swartz and Dillon James Johnson of Monroe; two daughters: Sarah Johnson Middleton and husband, Bobby of Shreveport and Hannah D. Johnson of Monroe; two brothers: Randy Johnson and Nick Johnson both of West Monroe; two sisters: Patty Sisk and husband, Keith of Bastrop and Sandy Bartee and husband, Larry of Lamar, AR and two grandchildren: Scarlet Johnson and Brylie Middleton.
