Gracy Jane was a daughter of James Lewis Benjamin Faircloth and Ellender (Eleanor) Johns, who apparently were never married as all of the children originally used the Johns surname, later using Faircloth.

Gracy Jane had a twin named Mary Cammie, who married Calvin Anderson in 1860.

Gracy Jane (nee Johns) Faircloth has been confused with Angeline Faircloth. Angeline was the twin sister of Gracy Jane's third husband, Alexander Barnabas "Boney" Faircloth. She later used the names Annie, Ann Jane, Jane, Angine and was never married, although she had two children. Some have mistakenly assigned her children to Gracy Jane and Alexander Faircloth, who did not have children. Gracy Jane's only children were Elizabeth and Levinia, who went by Coleman, although they were born after Gracy Jane and Jeremiah Coleman's divorce.

Gracy Jane's marriages:
(1) She married Jeremiah Coleman November 20, 1859 as Gracy Jane JOHNS.
(2) She married Wellington C. Corbin September 22, 1864 as Jane COLEMAN. (He filed a Bill to Set Aside Marriage in 1885, which was dismissed. Apparently she was still married to him when she married Alexander Faircloth. I believe Alexander had died by this time.)
(3) She married Alexander Faircloth December 26, 1869 as Jane CORBIN.
