Dies at Home of Daughter at 1612 Strong Avenue
Mrs. Alice M. Walton, 71, wife of A.S. Walton, died Monday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E.D. Baker, 1612 Strong avenue.

J.B. Fields received word Monday of the death of his sister, Mrs. A.S. Walton at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E.D. Baker at 1612 Stong Ave., in Topeka, at the age of 71 years, after a long period of illness.
Her maiden name was Alice Fields and she was born in Ohio, the oldest of the Fields children and came to Harveyville with her parents in 1865, where she grew up and was married to A.S. walton. They later bought a farm near Topeka and a few years ago, went to Texas for her health. Receiving but little benefit, they returned to Topeka.
She is survived by her husband and five children; Mrs. Eva Smelser, Mrs. Ethel Buchman and Mrs. Baker, Topeka; Mrs. Lena Spencer, Leavenworth; Clarence Walton, Victoria, Kan.; her mother, Mrs. Martha Fields, Manhattan; three sisters, Miss Alta Fields, Manhattan; Mrs. Jessie Clardy, Cushing, Ok.; and Mrs. Mattie Blanchard, Oklahoma City; four brothers, Charles and Jerry of Alma; Ted of Rossville and Emmett of Utah; seven grandchildrenand one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held at Penwell's chapel at 3 o'clock Wednesday. Burial was in Memorial Park cemetery in Topeka.
