Walnut Creek, California. Born in Watkins, MN to Michael J. and Anna (Baden) McCarthy. Preceded in death (1999) by husband Joseph W. Enright of Eden Valley; parents and sister, Mildred (Ryer), and brothers, Eugene and Austin McCarthy. Marian graduated from St. Cloud Teachers College (BE Math, 1936), and USC (BS Library Science, 1942). Marian worked as a teacher in Eden Valley & Litchfield and as a librarian for the Navy and VA in Calif (1945-1960), and VA in Minneapolis (1960-1972), retiring in 1972. She lived with husband Joe in Calif. and St. Paul, MN until Joe passed away in Aug. 1999. She moved back to CA in 1999.
