Funeral services for Gwen Louise Reagan, 70, of Lubbock, TX will be held on Friday, January 17, 2014 at 10:00 am at Jackson Avenue Baptist Church with Bro. Dave Rowser officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home.
Gwen was born on April 27, 1943 in Roswell, NM to Odis Warren and Annie Louise (Mason) Killingsworth and passed away at Hospice House in Odessa, TX on January 13, 2014.
Gwen grew up in Wellington, TX and attended school in Matador, graduating in 1961. Gwen was a devout Christian and a very social person. She enjoyed reading, painting, and camping in the outdoors. Watching Dallas Cowboys football and Dallas Stars hockey were favorite pastimes of hers. She loved New Mexico, aspen trees, all mountains, her coffee with "several shots of espresso," smiley faces, hearts, snow, angels, nativities, and Christmas. She enjoyed Christian music and John Denver music. Her family was the joy of her life, and she loved being a mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.
She married Richard Phillip Reagan in December of 1969 in Big Spring, TX, and they shared thirty-four years together before his death in 2003. She was preceded in death by her husband, her father, her stepfather Guy Harrod, and one daughter Kimberly Sue Irwin. She is survived by her son: Brian and wife Laura Irwin of Andrews, TX; her daughter: Denise Keith of Albuquerque, NM; her mother: Louise Killingsworth Harrod of Lovington, NM; three sisters: Janie Rodman of Lubbock, TX, Gina and husband Max Fort of Lovington, NM, and Gay and husband Richard Jones of Lubbock, TX; three grandchildren: James Paul Keith, Amber Caroline Irwin, and Joshua Charles Irwin; and one great-grandaughter: Abbie Lea Hobbs. Also surviving her are cousins and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice House, 903 North Sam Houston Avenue, Odessa, TX, 79761. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2014 from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm with family here from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
