Rotan- Jack Aaron 80, died Saturday in an Abilene Hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Rotan with Rev. L.D. Parks officiating. Burial will be in the Hobbs Cemetery directed by Weatherbee Funeral Home.
Mr. Aaron was born in Fisher County. A U.S. Army World War II Veteran, he was held prisoner-of-war in Europe after fighting in the Battle of the Bulge. He had been a member of the 707th Tank Battalion and a life member of American Ex-Prisoners of War and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
A water superintendent for the City of Rotan, he had worked for the city 44 years. He was a Baptist.
Surivors include his wife, Jean Seybold Aaron of Rotan; two brothers Ted Aaron of Brownwood, Joe Frank Aaron of Springtown; and five sisters, Gerald Hartsfield of Rotan, Jonnie Hartsfield of Stephenville, Maxine Paulk of Buffalo Gap, Mary Lou Parker of San Angelo, and Margaret Ann Shearer of Hamlin.
