Fay Wilkinson Mills, 79, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on December 20, 2001 due to complications following surgery.

Fay was born March 7, 1922 in Hoytsville, Utah to Albert Edmond and Martha Wilkinson Mills.

He graduated from North Summit High School and served in the U.S. Army, where he participated in the Normandy Invasion on D-Day in the 3rd wave on Omaha Beach.

He married Elda Garfield in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on September 14, 1943.

He worked as a heavy equipment operator in Portland, Oregon for twenty-five years until retirement due to war-time injuries.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, wood-working, and being with his family. He was a High Priest in the Hoytsville Second Ward.

He is survived by his wife, Elda of Hoytsville, and children, Barry (Gloria), Wanship; Randy (Lorraine), South Weber; Michelle (Vern) Williams, Wanship; Meredith (Kyle) Mosher, Wanship; Barton (Joanne), Wilsonville, Oregon; and Monta (Brett) Evans, Lewiston; nineteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and sister, Emma Harding, Morgan. Preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, and one brother.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 24, 2001 at 12:00 p.m. in the Hoytsville Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the church on Sunday, December 23, 2001 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Monday from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m.
Interment: Hoytsville Cemetery.
