Daughter of William and Clarinda Smithpeters. Wife of John Andrew Myers mother of Cecil, Inez, Allie, Kenneth, Ethel, and Willard. She married John Andrew "Andy" Myers on November 14 1897. She and her husband professed their faith in Christ in 1902 at the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, southeast of Thackeray. She was the oldest living member when she passed away.

Oma Myers, 79, Of McLeansboro Dies Tuesday Mrs. Oma Myers, 79, of near McLeansboro, died at 9:35 p.m. yesterday at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. Funeral services will be held at 1;30 p.m. Friday at Blooming Grove Baptist church, with the Rev. .John B. Maulding and the Rev. Luther Upton officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Tho body will lie In state at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro where friends may call after 7:00 p.m. today. Mrs. Myers was born Oct. 24, 1880, in Hamilton county, the daughter of William and Clarinda (Bolerjack) Smithpeters, On Nov. 14, 1897, she was married to Andy Myers, who preceded her in death. Survivors Include three sons, Allie, Cecil, and Kenneth Myers, a daughter, Mrs. Inez Nation, all of near McLeansboro; one brother, Marshall Smithpeters of Ozark, MI.; a sister, Mrs. Eva Baldwin of Lincoln, Ill.; eight grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Mrs. Myers was a member of the New Hope Baptist church
