Stella F. Aiello, 91, of Tiffin, passed away Thursday morning, December 26, 2013 at her home surrounded by family.
She was born on November 8, 1922, in New Braunfels, TX, to Paul and Veronica (Sachseumeyer) Bartsch. On January 6, 1941, she married Dominic J. Aiello and he preceded her in death on October 4, 1987.
Survivors include her son, David D. Aiello of Tiffin; 2 daughters, Patricia (Harold) Bickley, Sr. and Mariann Aiello, both of Tiffin; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and 1 great, great grandchild.
Also preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Jimmy Rogers; and sister, Evelyn Stowitts.
Stella was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and retired in 1982 as a meter maid for the City of Tiffin . While working, if Stella found a quarter while on the job she would use it to pay someone's meter. She enjoyed going on cruises, traveling to Europe and South America; playing the lottery, watching game shows and helping others. She was an Atlantic Braves fan and enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren's sporting events.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, December 30, 2013 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Gary Walters officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass.
Friends may visit with the family from 1-3:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 29, 2013 and from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service on Monday, December 30, 2013 at Hoffmann-Gottfried Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424.
