San Angelo, Sept 18 - E G McGlathery, a Confederate veteran, aged 78, died Tuesday morning at 9:30 o'clock at his home on North Blum street here. He came to McCulloch County in 1868 and to San Angelo in 1900.

Mrs Mattie McGlathery was the informant on the death certificate.
He & his first wife, Nancy were living in the household of his parents in 1880 Morgan Co AL. In 1900 they were enumerated in McCulloch Co TX having been married for 35 years, no children born to the union. He married M B Connell, age 48, who was a resident of Hot Springs, Garland Co AK on 5 Dec 1913. She applied for a widows pension there in 1930 for his service in Co G, AL Cavalry, CSA.
