ARMAND CYR, LEWISTON, DIES OF WOUNDS IN GERMANY
T-5 Armand Cyr, husband of Lucille Champagne Cyr of 226 Blake Street, Lewiston, and son of Mrs. Alice Cyr of 57 Dow Street, Lewiston, died in Germany January 22 of wounds received in action, the War Department notified his family by telegram this noon.
A previous telegram, received last Saturday, had stated that Corp. Cyr was seriously wounded in Germany January 21. A letter from Corp. Cyr written January 19 had told his family he had arrived in France.
He entered the service in November, 1943, and went overseas in November 1944. He had been stationed in England before being transferred to France.
Mrs. Cyr has two other sons, Andre and Honore, in the service.
