Salem, NH - Avilda M. Paradzick, 94 of Salem, NH died December 1, 2013 in the Salemhaven Nursing Home, Salem. Mrs. Paradzick was born in Agawam, MA on December 22, 1918 a daughter of the late, George E. and Alvina (Lemire) Goyette. She married Charles E. Paradzick on August 31, 1942 in Enfield, CT and they lived in Agawam, MA for many years. She later moved to Derry, NH where she lived for 30 years. As a former communicant of St. Theresa's Parish in Agawam, she sang with the church choir. She enjoyed knitting, quilt making, watching football and reading. She is survived by her son, Charles E. Paradzick, Jr. and his wife Janice of Derry, two grandsons, James W. Paradzick of Derry, and Charles E. Paradzick, III of Scottsdale, AZ, five great-grandchildren; Nina, Natalie, Lilliana, Ethan and Mia, four siblings, Raymond Goyette of Agawam, Thelma Troie of Agawam, Diane Montagna of W. Springfield, MA, and Verda Goyette of Agawam. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles E. Paradzick, Sr. in 2007. Following cremation, calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 12th from 9:30am - 11:30am in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 12th at 12:00pm in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Ave., Derry. Burial will be at a later date in the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Agawam. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Greater NH Chapter, Five Bedford Farms Dr., Suite 201, Bedford, NH 03110.
