Jerry was a Marine. Got a purple heart. Worked a lot of jobs. Ran several of his own businesses. Well-known and regarded at Canton First Monday Trade Days. His ashes are buried and marked between his mother and step-father, Frances and Denson Fisher at Como Cemetery in Hopkins County. He and Vick Gardner, a cousin, were as close as brothers. Jerry left no heirs. That line of Fishers is ended. Lived in Gilmer much of his life. Beverly and Don Hensley were close friends.
