Jessie Phillips Boone, 88, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 10, at the Harris Methodist Erath County Hospital in Stephenville. Services were held at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, Oct. 20 with Rev. Earl Baugh officiating. Boone was born on Sept. 28, 1917, in Wood County of East Texas, to Jacob and Flara Phillips. She married Raymond C. Boone on May 30, 1936 in San Angelo. Boone was a mother, grandmother, and a homemaker. One of her greatest joys has been her involvement in the Washington Street Baptist Church, where she has been a member since moving to Stephenville in 1952, after living in San Angelo. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Ray Boone; her parents, Jacob and Flara Phillips; and a grandson, Fred Wilson III. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Fred Wilson of the Family Farm; son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Sharon Boone of Grandbury; grandchildren Sharon LaRay Adame and husband Jessie of Houston; Jay Alan Wilson and wife Rachel of Lincoln, Neb.; Cassandra Galvan and husband David of Rowlett; Corbett Boone and wife Stephanie of Tyler; Clark Boone and fiance Alisha Cox of Stephenville; great-grandchildren Damon Jay Wilson; Giselle, Samuel, and Vincent Adame; and Natalia Galvan and Tyler Boone.
