George's wife;

Catherine Michel #118308947

Birth: 20 Mar 1817, Beaucaire, Gard, Languedoc-Roussillon, France

Death: 11 Jan 1857, Canton, Stark, Ohio, USA

Her surname:

Our family Bible says "Michel", another cousin has "Nichols".

LDS has "Michel" to verify our records.

1850 Census Record:

Where was the family? Was Catherine buried on the farm?

No 1850 US census record found! Cousin Bob Holman tells me Jun 2014 that the family lived in Strausburg, and later purchased one acre in Stark County, Ohio. There are no land records found for this on ancestry.com. We need to go to the county and research.

Catherine's Findagrave.com Memorial was removed;

I was made to remove this memorial from findagrave.com because "family burial plots are not acceptable", Jan 2016. "Unknown cemeteries" were unacceptable to the editors in Jan 2016 (Willie Dee). Then I asked to have it restored later in the fall, when I heard otherwise. I lost 200 memorials because of Willie Dee!

I sent money to Cincinnati Library to check for her Death Record. Never heard back from them. I had a photographer go out to several rural Catholic Cemeteries in Strausburg. She did not find our Catherine, though some headstones were broken and illegible.
