Zachry Mayson Bator (55) ... died peacefully Saturday morning, November 3, 2012 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Atlanta--surrounded by his many friends. As an organ donor, Zachry's corneas have been donated to those in need of sight. Born in Washington, D.C. March 21, 1957, Zachry spent his youth living abroad as his father served through diplomatic assignments in Finland, Italy, the former Yugoslavia and Kuwait. After graduating from Ohio University in 1980 he joined his family in Atlanta. In Atlanta, he began a successful career as a professional tennis player, individual instructor and coach for many ALTA teams. Zachry worked primarily out of his neighborhood at Brittany Club in Brookhaven. He was a member of the United States Professional Tennis Association (www.uspta.com) and a lifetime member of the USTA. In Georgia, Zachry ranked #1 at various times among the 25-, 30-, 35- and 40-year-old players. He was ranked 15th in the 40-year-old category. He will be missed on the tennis courts by all who knew him.

A memorial and life celebration gathering is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 16 from 7 pm to 9 pm to take place at the Brittany Club in Brookhaven, 3359 Breton Circle NE, Atlanta, GA 30319.
