Mrs. Alice Adams Succumbs Today
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday from the Peters Funeral Home for Mrs. Alice M. Adams, 85, of 722 State street, who died early today at Little Traverse hospital following several weeks illness.
The Rev. R. S. Wilson will officiate, and buriel is to be in Greenwood cemetery.
Born in New Brunswick, Can. On July 4, 1863, Mrs. Adams had been a resident of this community for 53 years. Her husband, William H. Adams, died in 1936. For the last few years she had made her home on State street with her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Marjorie Adams. She was an active member of the First Christian Church here.
Surviving are one grandson, William J. Adams, of Petoskey; two sisters, Mrs. Mable Curren and Mrs. Blanche Sage, and one brother, Herman Mercer, all of California, and one great-granddaughter.[:CR:]
