Andrew Tabbert, 85, Spiritwood, North Dakota, died Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at his home.

Andrew was born October 21, 1922 in Mansfield township, Barnes County, North Dakota, the son of Edward and Christine (Sauer) Tabbert. He attended school in various places while traveling with his family. He was baptized as a minister of Jehovah on June 30, 1940.

On March 27, 1948, Andrew married Jocelyn Spoerl in Moorhead, MN. Andrew and Jocelyn had two children, Steven and Pamela. They farmed for 54 years near Eckelson and Ypsilanti, ND.

Andrew was a pilot in his younger years. He enjoyed riding horses, farming and visiting with his friends.

Andrew was very active and served in various capacities as a Jehovah Witness. How comforting to know that Andrew is merely asleep in death. (I Thess. 4:13). We all have the opportunity and can look forward to the time when we will once again enjoy his association in that new system of things promised by Jehovah God. (Ps 37:29)

Andrew is survived by his son, Steven, of Spiritwood; Pamela (Frank) Valente of Fargo, ND; and two brothers, Arnold (Clara) Tabbert, Marion, ND and Dale (Joy) Tabbert, Fargo.

He was preceded in death by his wife; parents, one brother, Bob; and one sister, Doris.

Memorial Service: 1:30 PM, Monday, June 16, 2008 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses with Speaker Karl Bergh officiating.
