McCully— Died at the home of his son, Dr. R.R. McCully at Union Springs, May 23rd, Robert B. McCully, aged 79 years. He is survived by two sons, Dr. R. R. McGully of Union Springs, and Amos McCully of this city; one daughter, Mrs. Wiliam Schenck of Madison, N, J.; one brother, Wesley McCully of Fulton; one sister, Mrs. Ida Ferris of Oswego. The remains were brought to this city and funeral services held at the Case Memorial chapel Monday afternoon; interment in Mt. Adnah. The deceased was well known in Fulton, where he resided for many years. He served in the Civil war and was one of the few survivors of Andersonville prison pen. He was member of Post Schenck, G.A.R., of Fulton.

In the Journal of the 46th National Encampment of The Grand Army of the Republic at Los Angeles, CA Sept 12 and 13th, 1912 including semi-official meeting September 10, 1912 is a paragraph: "Notice: Members of Posts are requested to forward the names and addresses of all survivors of Andersonville Prison, who are known to them to Robert B. McCully, Secretary and Treasurer of The National Society of Andersonville Survivors addressed to him at 1 Madison Avenue, Room 4050, New York City, N. Y.
