Ida Christina Anderson was the eldest daughter of eight children born to Anders "Andrew" Johan Andreasson and
Johanna Andreasdotter Krentz.

She emigrated from Sweden with her parents, arriving in New York on 16 Apr 1881, aboard the U.S.M. steamship 'Baltic'. She married another Swedish immigrant, Charles Augustus Moodhe (Moody), on 23 May 1885 at Stillwater, Minnesota. Before he died in 1930, they had these fourteen offspring:
