Funeral services for Mrs. Rachel Lee Carr Collins, age 76, resident of Starkville, were conducted Tuesday, July 5, 1994 at 1 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Belmont with Rev. M. Wayne Mitchell officiating. Burial was in Dennis Memory Gardens in Belmont.
Grandsons of the deceased served as pallbearers.
A native of Texas, Mrs. Collins was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. She died Thursday, July 2, in Oktibbeha County Hospital in Starkville.
Survivors include two sons, Billy Ray Collins of Tupelo and Ernie Lee Collins of Nashville, Tennessee; five sisters, Mrs. Lera Tidwell of Dennis, Mrs. Delila West of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, Mrs. Virginia Miller of Alexandria, Virginia, Mrs. Elaine Pierce of Fairfax, Virginia, and Mrs. Ora Mae Deker of Fredericksburg, Virginia; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
