Edith Hope(Crowell) Hewlett is Ethel Faith (Crowell) Hazel's twin sister. Edith was married first to Fred Southerland- 24 Aug 1915 in Franklin County, Illinois. Fred was murdered 02 Jan 1916 in Franklin County, Illinois. He was son of George & Kate Southerland.

Edith then married Frank Hewlett in 1917. He was the son of Lemuel & Elizabeth "Lizzie" Hewlett. While visiting her twin sister, Ethel, in Marissa, Illinois, Edith had a miscarriage and died from blood poisoning. She died in her twin sister's arms.
