W. SCOTT McElroy, aged 83, a life-long resident of Williamsport, died early Saturday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Henry, on E. Artizan St., of complications after an illness of 18 years. He was born September 22, 1849.
Mr. McElroy was a member of the Church of the Brethen, Hagerstown, and for many years was employed by W. D. Byron and Sons.
He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Henry; three sons, Harry, Williamsport; Walter, Canton, Ohio; and Dyson, Chicago, Ill.; and 17 grandchildren.
Services Monday at 2 pm at the United Brethren Church conducted by Rev. A. B. Miller, assisted by Rev. N. S. B. Thomas. Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Williamsport.
