WOODARD, Thad of Mesquite, born September 28, 1925, passed away December 24, 2003.

Survived by wife, Frances Woodard; daughters, Janet Doyal & husband, Jack, Gladys Layne & husband, Allan, Susan McKinney & husband, Wayne, Sonny Woodard; grandchildren, Juli Doyal, Allan Layne II & wife, Tammy, Alicia Coplin & husband, Rick, Toby McKinney, Micah McKinney, Niki Woodard, Mandi Woodard; great grandchildren, Caden Coplin, Kinley Coplin, Madeline, Megan & Morgan; sister, Rita Harrison; numerous nieces, nephews & friends.

Services will be 1:00PM Saturday, December 27, 2003, at the First Baptist Church of Mesquite, 127 E. Kimbrough, Mesquite, TX. 75149, with Dr. Brandon Ridgeway officiating.

Interment will be in Laurel Oaks Memorial Park in Mesquite.Family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00PM - 8:00PM.
Woody worked & retired from Continental Electronics in Dallas, Texas.

While working for Continental Electronics he was the quality control supervisor in the installation of the La Moure Omega Transmitter Tower situated near La Moure, North Dakota. It was a 365.25 metre tall guyed mast insulated from ground as its antenna.

The United States Coast Guard maintained this tower. After OMEGA was shut down, it was converted to a VLF submarine communication system.

Woody & Frances were members of Liberty Baptist Church, Dallas, Tx.

Woody & Frances were married 56 years.

They had 3 girls & 1 Boy.
