O.A. Barton, Sr. of Gatesville died at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday in a Kileen hospital. He was 75. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Wilkerson and Hatch Chapel with Dr. Ken Hay of Dallas officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Survivors are his wife; two sons, Col. William B. Barton of Austin and O.A. Barton Jr. of Denton; three sister, Mrs. H.B. Canon of Fort Worth, Miss Minnie Sue Barton of 2505 North Fifteenth-A Street and Mrs. James D. Barton of Fort Worth; three brothers, F.W. Barton of Fort Worth, John D. Barton of Riesel and James W. Barton of Gatesville; two grandchildren, Jimmy Barton of Denton and Caroline Barton of Austin. The family will be at 1200 Herring Avenue. Active pallbearers: Harold V. Cash, W.E. McVey of Lancaster, Carroll Barton, David McCallister, Chick McCallister and George Loer Jr., all of Gatesville; John Peavy of Dallas, and Carl Putnam of Austin. Honorar pallbearers: W.D.
