Thomas Harlan Baird of Waldron, Arkansas went to be with his Lord and Savior, Wednesday, March 20, 2013 in Waldron, Arkansas. Thomas was born November 9, 1942 to James and Ina Mae (Long) Baird in Plainview, Texas. Thomas was 70 years, 4 months and 11 days old.

Thomas was a member of the Saint Jude Catholic Church in Waldron, Arkansas. Thomas graduated from West Texas State University. He married his love, Glendell, June 3 1963. Thomas was always a hard worker and busy doing something productive. He was an insurance adjuster for 30 plus years. He loved reading and studying history. Thomas love being a Scout Master. He was proud of and enjoyed being with his sons, and grandchildren in the Scouts. Thomas loved his faith. However, the quality time he spent with his family and loved ones were his most treasured memories. He loved each and everyone of them.

Thomas leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Glendell of the home; two sons, James Baird and wife, Joanne of Irving, Texas, Mark Baird of the home; one brother, Michael Baird of Amarillo, Texas. He was a loving "Paw Paw" to Abigail, Glenn, John and Charles Baird and two great-grandchildren, Logan and Luke Baird. Thomas will be missed by all that knew him and the many whose lives were impacted by him including his nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, friends and loved ones.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, James and Ina Mae Baird; and one son, Nelson Baird.

Thomas' rosary will be recited at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, March 24, 2013 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Waldron, Arkansas

Thomas' funeral mass will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at the Saint Jude Catholic Church with Father Ravi Rajagudi, officiating. Interment to follow in the Bush Cemetery near Waldron, Arkansas. Arrangements and cremation are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas.

Thomas' visitation will be held 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, March 24, 2013 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.
