Comer K. Jones, 57-year-old resident of Route 7, McMinnville, died unexpectedly at Warren County General Hospital at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday death being attributed to a self inflicted gunshot wound.
A member of the Church of Christ, Mr. Jones was employed as a plumber and electrician with Harold Laws Construction Company here.
He was married Dec. 23, 1933, to the former Emma Prater, who survives, and was a native of DeKalb County. He was a son of the late Walter and Arminty Jones.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son and two daughters, Leon Jones and Mrs. Joyce Cantrell, both of McMinnville, and Mrs. Sue Mathis, Cookeville; a brother, Dan Jones, McMinnville; two sisters, Mrs. Zora Hawkins and Mrs. Beatrice Roberts, also of this city, and eight grandchildren.
Winston Tynes and John W. High at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, with interment to follow in Bethany Cemetery.
