I have been trying to figure out where this picture was taken. I'm thinking it was taken in McLennan County, Texas around the turn of the century about 1904. There were several Holland brothers that moved to McLennan County, Texas from Laurens County, South Carolina. Thomas Rutledge Holland the eldest brother and his wife stayed in South Carolina the three younger brothers left for Texas. James "Mace" Mason Holland, John William "Jack" Holland and then George Belton Holland. My grandfather Howard Holland is the son of George Belton Holland who had this photo. The man on the far left is Gus Mason Holland and the man next to him with the bowler hat is a Holland also not sure which brother. It might be the older brother Thomas Rutledge HOLLAND IV.
