Jerry Duel was born March 4, 1914 at Billings, OK and died June 8, 2009 at Quail Creek Nursing Home in Oklahoma, City. She was the daughter of George A. B. Burgin and Lillian May Waldron Burgin. She married Ralph W. "Butch" Duel, April 26, 1930 at Buffalo, OK. Butch preceeded her in death January 4, 1994. They lived in several towns in Oklahoma, moving to Marshall in 1944. Jerry was also preceded in death by her parents, a sister Jean Puryear and brother Harold Burgin; sons, George C. "Chan" Duel, Thad D. Duel and a Great Grandson Drennen Duel. She is survived by a daughter Dena K. Sponsler and her husband Jim Sponsler of Eufaula; daughters-in-law, Marilyn Duel of Hennessey and Wanda Fairbrother of McCall, Idaho; 5 Granddaughters,Carma Taylor , Alisa Zelnicek , Thais Shapiro, Thera Follett and Lane Duel.a Grandson Mike Duel, 6 Greatgrandsons, 4 Greatgranddaughters and 2 Greatgreatgranddaughters.
