Emma Jane Brannon, 87, a resident of Cleveland, went home to be with the Lord Monday, Jan. 15, 2007, in a local health care facility.

She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank Morrow; second husband, "Red" Brannon; and a daughter, Judy Rogers.

She is survived by three daughters: Eunice Wadley of Morganton, N.C., Janice Taylor and husband, Duton, of Tellico Plains and Phyllis Defriece and husband, Ray, of Cleveland; brother, G.D. Smith and wife, Silvia, of Decatur; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, 2007, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Revs. Alvin Ellis and Boyd Collins officiating.

Interment will follow in Cottonport Cemetery in Decatur with the white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Pallbearers will be Chad Defriece, Todd Defriece, David Moore, Scott Williamson, David Williamson and Tony Williamson.
