Joseph John Archer, Jr., age 75 of Dandridge passed away Thursday May 2, 2013 at his home. He was retired from Peidmont/U S Airways as Director of Air Craft Maintenance.

He is survived by his wife, Billie Kay Archer of Dandridge; sons Joseph John Archer III (Trish) of Clover, South Carolina, Michael T. Archer (Tracey) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Billy Joe Archer (Melissa) of Pigeon Forge; daughters, Sharon Archer Salyers (Bob) of Union, Kentucky, JoAnn Archer DeHaven (Rusty) of Gastonia, North Carolina, Debbie Archer Tierney (Jeff) of Burlington, Kentucky and Mary Archer Ball (Eddie) of Newport; brother Frank (Linda) Archer of West Mifflin, Pennsylvania; and sister Eileen Pacolay of Gastonia, North Carolina; sixteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, May 5, 2013 at Chestnut Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. John Wilson officiating with burial following in Hills Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm Sunday prior to the Memorial service at Chestnut Hill United Methodist Church.
