Effi Warren's mother was Sarah Catherine Harmon (1868-1896) she married Alexander W Warren they were married 23 Feb. 1891. Alexander later married Sarah Elizabeth Clark on 9 Nov 1898.


Effie Dodd did not have a middle name although she gave herself one on some occasions. Her mother's middle name was Catherine and so she did use that on occasion.

DIMMITT - Funeral service for longtime Dimmitt resident Mrs. Effe [sic] Dodd, who died early Monday morning, were to be at 3 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church here.


Officiating was to be the Rev. Lennal Hester, pastor, and burial in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery was by Dennis Funeral Home.


Mrs. Dodd, 80, died in Plains Memorial Hospital. She was an Arkansas native and had lived in Dimmitt 35 years.


Surviving are two sons, Harley and Hardin, both of Dimmitt; three sisters, Mrs. Sadie Hestep of Jal, N.M., Mrs. Rosa Ryan of Baird and Mrs. Lillie Bailey of Moran; two brothers, E.C. Warren of Burkett and J.O. Warren of Baird; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Dodd died at 4:40 a.m. Monday at Plains Memorial Hospital in Dimmitt. She was a native of Arkansas and had lived in Dimmitt 35 years.


Survivors include two sons, three sisters, including Mrs. Sadie Hestep of Jal, N.M.; two brothers; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
