A celebration of life was held for Norbert Timothy "Tim" Schroeder on Friday, June 4, 2004 at 6 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Many with Father Tim Hurd officiating. He died at 8 p.m. June 1, 2004 at Schumpert Highland in Shreveport due to cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norbert Fleming and Agnes Robinson Schroeder. Survivors include sister, Agnes Ann Schroeder Mussey and husband John, of Shreveport; niece, Joanna Gayle Mussey of Grapevine, Texas; nephew, Jonathan Christopher Mussey of Shreveport; special friend, Mable Behan and Dusty of Many; and a host of great friends. Tim was a friend and a helper to all who crossed his path - we will miss him. The Lord says, in my father's home there are many dwelling places. I have gone home to find my special place.

Note: Tim's tomb stone was created out of the steps of the old Many Court House. These same steps were used at Tim's Grand Parents ( Dan and Callie's) house in Many for a number of years. His Grand Parents had since passed away and the house was no longer around, and so I imagine Tim pulled the steps into his back yard which was adjacent to his Grand Parents house.

I was at Tim's house one year and he mentioned that he wanted the steps as his burial marker. Several years later he passed away and I made this known to his sister, and she honored his request.
