GRAVESIDE SERVICES- 10:00 am Thursday, April 18, 2013 in the Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon with Rev. Lloyd Stice, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church, officiating.

INTERMENT- Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon.

Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.

Mrs. Hillis was born July 12, 1922 in Clarendon to John Earl and Maude Mae Ryan. She married George Don Hillis, Sr. on March 2, 1957 in Clovis, New Mexico. She had been a resident of Lesley before moving to Clarendon 45 years ago. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Clarendon.

PRECEDED IN DEATH BY - her parents; her husband in 2010; her brother, John Earl Ryan; and 2 sisters, Geraldine Huffman and Dorothy Walters.

SURVIVORS- 2 sons, George Don Hillis, Jr. and fiance Debbie Roberts of Clarendon, and Monty Ryan Reed and wife Cindy of Moore, Oklahoma; a daughter, Trudy Smith and husband Charles of Austin; a sister, Kathleen Mickelson of San Antonio; 4 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.

CLARENDON - Rue Zell Hillis, 90, of Clarendon died Sunday, April 14, 2013, in Amarillo.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon with the Rev. Lloyd Stice, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon. Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.

Survivors include two sons, George Don Hillis Jr. of Clarendon and Monty Ryan Reed of Moore, Okla.; a daughter, Trudy Smith of Austin; a sister, Kathleen Mickelson of San Antonio; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to First United Methodist Church in Clarendon, or Odyssey Hospice.
