P.B. Hammersley. Perronneau Brown Hammersley, 65, of 4434 Wards Rd, died 9:30 p.m. Tuesday in Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Gracie Lucille Mantiply Hammersley. Born in Campbell County, he was the son of the late James Hamlett and Susan Alice Bruffy Hammersley. He was a retired contractor, a veteran of World War II and a member of Marsh Memorial United Methodist Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two brothers, James S. Hammersley of Lynchburg, and John M Hammersley of Monroe and four sisters, Mrs. Laine H Woodford, Mrs. Elsie H Miles of Lynchburg, Mrs. Vona H Brown of Miami, Fla., and Mrs. Elizabeth H Denton of Monroe. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Friday at [Witten] Timberlake Chapel with burial at Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today and other times at the residence.
