Born November 5, 1942 in Newark, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Albert Carl Cantelmo, Sr. and Molly Doubt Cantelmo.
Mrs. Polk was a retired Administrative Assistant with South Carolina DHEC and a member of Varnville First Baptist Church. She was the widow of William Gerald Polk, Sr.
Survivors one son: Jerry Polk and wife Sandy of Walterboro, SC; daughter, Sherri P. Wilson and husband Andy of Simpsonville, SC; two brothers, Albert C. Cantelmo, Jr., of Florence, SC and Gary Cantelmo of Kennesaw, GA; one sister, Nancy Hendley of Simpsonville, SC; grandchildren: Lauren Paige Wilson, Andrew Michael Wilson, Jr., Ashlyn Kate Polk, and Brandon Tyler Polk.
Funeral services will be held, April 2, 2013, at 2 P.M. in the chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. Dr. Tommy Kelly. Burial will follow in the Crocketville Cemetery.
