Julia Sarah Kennedy Robinson was born in Madisonville, Texas. Julia went to St. Vincent's Academy, which, at the time, was the Catholic high school for girls in Shreveport, La. Julia graduated from Centenary College in Shreveport. After graduating college, Julia got a job teaching English and French at Fisher High School in Fisher, La. When she was living in Fisher, she met John Rolla Robinson, whom she married on May 9, 1928 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Many, La. Julia and her husband, Rolla, raised their daughter, Joan, and made their home in Fisher, La. They lived in Fisher until Rolla retired from being Manager of the Long Leaf Lumber Co. Store, when they then moved to live out their life in Many, Louisiana.
