James Larry Sims name is also inscribed on the Savannah Ga Viet Nam Veterans Memorial, In Emmit Park , and The Chatham Co. Marine Monument located in Forsyth Park in Savannah,Ga.

"Larry"
Beloved Son And Brother, he was so much more than a name on a memorial to his family. He was a brave and loving brother, who was very protective of his younger brothers.
He was a loyal son and friend to many.
Larry is very deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Only recently did I learn that Larry Sims did not die alone on that fateful day in Quang Tri Province ,The others killed at the same time are listed below. They were all assigned to H&S Company, 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division.
James Larry Sims was the only one from Kilo Company.
