Jimmie Sue McCulley Claborn of Rising Star, Eastland County, Texas passed away on Tuesday, 15 December 2020. She was 93.
Jimmie Sue was born on Saturday, 09 April 1927, to Walker Elsie McCulley and Vera Irene Hamilton McCulley in Carbon, Eastland County, Texas. She was the second of three children born to this union, and the last McCulley child to pass.
She was united in marriage to Herman Harrel Claborn on Sunday, 21 March 1948. Mr. Claborn preceded Jimmie in death on Sunday, 02 July 2006. They were married 57 years. To their union were born two children: daughter Peggy Ann Claborn and son Nikki Harold Claborn.
She was a member of Rising Star church of Christ. Jimmie Sue was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who will be greatly missed.
Jimmie Sue was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, infant daughter Peggy Ann Claborn, sister Patsy Ann McCulley Hill, brother Clifford Edsel McCulley, and daughter-in-law Vickie Jo Stewart Claborn.
She is survived by her son Nikki Harold Claborn, granddaughter Bridget Martin Laird and husband Dustyn of Early, Brown County, Texas, grandson Brandon Carroll and wife Gari Sue of Rising Star, 7 great-grandchildren: Cole Carroll of North Zulch, TX, Carlee Carroll and fiancé Caleb Parker of Navasota, Rayleigh Martin of Early, Cash Clark of Early, Levi Maynard and wife Priscilla of Eastland, Wade Hamer and wife Krista of Victoria, Faith Bartels and husband Jake of Ft. Worth.
There will be no visitation.
Graveside services for Jimmie Sue will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, 22 December 2020, at the Rising Star Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.
