JOHN CHARLES ABER, age 78, of Fairfield Glade, TN passed away Thursday, December 13, 2012, in Crossville, TN. He was born June 19, 1934, in Cleveland, OH, son of the late John S. Aber and Jeanette (Steenstra) Aber. Mr. Aber was retired from Sequoia Supply. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and Elks Lodge No. 2751. He served in the United States Navy. He is survived by wife, Jean (Lemel) Aber, Fairfield Glade, TN. Children, Nancy L. Chadwick, John S. Aber (Cindi) and Sheryl L. Spray (Alan). Step-children, Diane L. Miner (Charles), Fred J. Haller (Sarah), Robin L. Orzel (James), and Jeffrey S. Haller (Lisa). Brother, Robert G. Aber (Sandy), West Lake, OH. Sister, Delores Lang (George), Brunswick, OH. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by first wife, Gloria (Alexander) Aber. Son, John Michael Aber. A memorial service will be held Friday, December 21, 2012, at 1:00 p.m., at Dover Congregational United Church of Christ, 2239 Dover Center Rd., Westlake, OH, 44145; (440) 871-1050 with Rev. R. Keith Stuart officiating.
