Mr. Shoemaker was an Army Air Corp Veteran of WWII, a Church of Christ Minister and a Vice President for Arkansas Printing and Lithograph which later became International Graphics. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Those preceding him in death include his previously mentioned parents; his wife of 63 years, Dortha Lee (Barber) Shoemaker; a daughter, Alice Shoemaker; brothers, Trice "Bill" Shoemaker and Alva Shoemaker; grandson, Bryan Daniel and sister, Ada Shoemaker Peterson.
Survivors include his son, Freddy Shoemaker of Conway; daughter, Donna Daniel and husband Danny also of Conway, grandson; Michael Linenberger and wife Jackie; great grandson, Aiden Linenberger; grandson, Kason Daniel and wife Jessica; sister, Rosalee Span of Higdon, AR; daughter-in-law, Gean Gates and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
The family wishes to thank Salem House for the excellent care given to Mr. Shoemaker and Conway Regional CCU nurses and staff for their compassion.
The memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 11, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway with David Brown officiating. Inurnment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 10th at the funeral home.
As per Mr. Shoemaker's request, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of choice.
