Funeral services for B. Towler Marshall, 91 years of age, were held Tuesday morning at 10:30 a.m. at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. T. Parrott with the Rev. R. L. Sleamaker in charge, assisted by the Rev. E. P. Gast. Burial was in Brookside. Mr. Marshall, one of the towns oldest citizens, died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Parrott Sunday. Mr. Marshall had made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Parrott for some fourteen years. He was a former merchant in Campbellsville selling boots and shoes and was later on the road selling harness and later coffee. He had been inactive some twelve years. He was a member of the Methodist church. Surviving are a brother, R. W. Marshall, Hearne, Texas, five nieces and three nephews. Nephews are: H. T. Parrott, Towler Parrott, and Richard L. Marshall; nieces include: Mrs. Frank Gabbert, Louisville, Mrs. Joe Gaddie, county, and Mrs. Ermine Marcum, Hodgenville. Pallbearers were: Joe Chandler, Lee Edwards, Charles Patteson, Eugene Newcomb, Joe Anderson, and Jesse Hicks. ~The News-Journal, Thursday, December 16, 1943
