Funeral services for James Buren Anderson Jr., 71, of Crossville, who passed away April 28, 1999, were held April 30 at Cornerstone Baptist Church, with burial in Crossville City Cemetery. Bros. Mike Kerley and Donald Wattenbarger officiated, with special music by the church choir.
He was born Feb. 14, 1928 in Nashville, the son of James B. Anderson Sr. and Edna Ruth Anderson. Mr. Anderson was an employee of the county sanitation department, and he was of the Protestant faith. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving during World War II.
Survivors include his daughters, Melinda Hassler of Crossville, Margie Welch of Georgia, and Kay Anderson and Margene Anderson, both of Nashville; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; special friend, Wanda Johnson of Crossville; brother, Danny Anderson of St. Louis, MO; and sister, Georgia Nevins of Fountain Valley, CA.
