She was a retired first grade teacher at Beaver Creek Grade School in rural Hamilton County.
She was born in Hamilton County on April 9, 1937. She married Robert Lee on May 31, 1956 and had 48 years of marriage. He survives in McLeansboro.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday Feb 6th at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro. Rev. Mark Lee and Rev. Steve Shoultz officiated.
visitation was at the funeral home 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday Feb 5th.
Interment was in Ten Mile Cemetery,near McLeansboro.
Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, Brad and wife, Karla, Carmi; three brothers, James E. and wife, Maudie Hart, Olive Branch, Edward R. and wife, Mary Hart, Bronte, Texas, Richard A. and wife, Phyllis Hart, Fairfield Larry and wife, Dixie Hart, Livingston, Montana; five sisters, Mrs. Marcella and husband, Dale Lance, Sebring, Fl., Mrs. Marcia Dee and husband, Jack Moore, Carrollton, Ga., Mrs. Donna and husband John Naas, McLeansboro, Mrs. Joyce and husband Kent Ewing, Granite Canon, Wy., Mrs. Linda and husband, Paul Trommer, Lincoln; one aunt, Velma A. Johnson; several nieces and nephews and two grandchildren, Amber and Ariana Lee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one infant brother, Marvin Lee Hart and one still born infant sister, Barbara Sue Hart.
She was a member of the Hamilton County Retired Teachers Association and the Illinois Retired Teachers Association. She was also a member of Freedom Missionary Baptist Church, McLeansboro
