Mary R. Richard AGAWAM - Mary R. Richard, 88 of Agawam, MA passed away peacefully on January 18, 2013. She was born in Revere, MA to Daniel and Susanna Webster. Mary was in the Navy from 1944-1946 where she served in Washington D.C. in administrative service. She was married to the late Gerard (Del) Richard. Mary is predeceased by her sisters Louise Catalano and Ann O'Neil, brothers Daniel and Chester Webster and Stepson Theodore Richard. Mary was a very caring and loving wife, aunt, stepmother, grandmother, great grandmothers and great great grandmothers. Mary was very fortunate to have such great loving neighbors as the Crowley's, Earl, (predeceased) Sandy, Neil, Jim and Jessica. Thank you for being such a big part of her life, you were family in every sense of the word. Mary had a true love of animals. There was never a dog, cat, bird or squirrel that ever went hungry when they came to her door, and they would come to her door daily. She would go to the store just to get them bread, peanut butter, bird food, dog and cat food just so they got fed. A memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, January 29th at 1pm at the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Thomas J. O'Connor Animal Control and Adoption Center, 627 Cottage Street, Springfield, MA 01104.
