Services were held February 1, 2005 at Grace United Methodist Church in Hastings with Pastor Jim Miller and Reverend Dr. Lee Wigert officiating. Burial was in the Sutton Cemetery in Sutton.
Twila was born August 14, 1934 in Clay County near Edgar to Harry and Nellie (Knudson) Overturf. She graduated from Sutton High School in 1952.
On June 28, 1953 she married Demas Griess. She was owner/operator of Country Elegance Gift Shop with her daughter in Sutton. Twila and Demas moved to Hastings in 1985.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
She was preceeded in death by her parents and infant daughter, Amy Jo Griess.
Survivors include her husband Demas of Hastings; daughter, Belinda and her husband Paul of Hastings; son, Bryan D. and his wife Kathy Griess of Hastings; seven grandchildren; one brother, Leo Overturf of Sutton and on sister, Shirley Eckhardt of Fountain Hills, AZ.
Memorials may be given to Mary Lanning Hospice or Grace United Methodist Church.
