The son of Robert and Ellen Woodward, William married Jennie Stuttard Sept 19 1894 at Imlay City. They moved to Carleton from Detroit and from Carleton to Monroe in 1911. He was a machine operator at the River Raisin Paper Co. before his retirement in 1943.He had been a member of Saint Paul's Methodist Church since 1913 and taught Sunday school there for more than 45 years.
