BESSIE FRANCES RECTOR DURHAM

Bessie Frances Durham passed away on January 1, 1985 in Ontario, California. She was born June 27, 1919 to Bessie Luella Burris Rector and Marcus Walton Rector Sr.

She married Loyd Durham and moved from Plainview, Texas to Pomona, Ca where he was employed by Pomona Tile. She began working for Sunkist Growers in Ontario. In the 1940's they built their only home on Princeton St in Ontario, California on land that was part of an orange grove. They both cherished the home that they built together. Even though their head stone states "mother" and "father" they did not have biological children, but raised a niece.

She was not only a beautiful lady, but talented in preparing food and helping others. Together they were a beautiful couple and being their niece, I enjoyed being in their company. They will forever be missed. I know they are looking down on all of us from above.

Parents: Marcus Walton Rector (1872-1956)
